Spring Will Be Appearing On – Paranormal Geeks Radio

Spring will be appearing on internet radio this week, with one of her favorite Paranormal people, Dr. Mary Marshall. And she’s looking forward to meeting a new friend, host Jim Heater of Paranormal Geeks Radio.

Host Jim Heater created the CHampaign/CHicago Illinois Paranormal Society – CH.I.P.S. and the Spirits of Lincoln paranormal teams. Along with his semi-regular guest co-host Dr. Mary Marshall from The Paranormal MD radio show, they share their knowledge, stories and conversation about the Paranormal world and Paranormal Investigations.

This Saturday, Spring will join the crew on to share information about Pagan Metaphysics, Wicca, Witchcraft and Magik. What are these practices, the misconceptions, beliefs? We’ll discuss the growing popularity and struggles of Pagans here in the U.S. and around the world. And a whole lot more. We always have fun on our radio shows, so we hope you’ll tune in and listen! A Free and Open Internet For All

Did you know your ability to access internet data is under threat? Seriously. You might lose your FREE access to a variety of websites, information and more if the FCC continues to back the desire of ISPs to charge for access.

Today Senator Elizabeth Warren posted a warning on her Facebook page concerning the pay-for-play policy being considered by FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler.

On her post, Sen. Warren wrote:
“We don’t know who is going to have the next big idea in this country, but we’re pretty sure they’re going to need to get online to do it. Reports that the FCC may gut net neutrality are disturbing, and would be just one more way the playing field is tilted for the rich and powerful who have already made it. Our regulators already have all the tools they need to protect a free and open Internet – where a handful of companies cannot block or filter or charge access fees for what we do online. They should stand up and use them.“

What’s at issue?
There are many places online to read about both sides of the issue. But who do you trust? I’d be more inclined to lean toward Wikipedia (Wikipedia:Net Neutrality) than some of the PC blogs and online magazines. Everyone has a slant to the issue. So I kept researching. Continue reading →

You may have noticed your internet connection is slow today, or you’re having problems sending eMail this week. You’re not the only one. That’s because there’s a bug in a piece of software that is widely used by many companies across the board for internet connectivity. It’s called OpenSSL.

It’s important to understand how THIS AFFECTS YOU as a casual user of the internet and why it’s so serious.

OpenSSL manages security behind the scenes for your secured connections while you’re surfing on the internet and doing your day to day business or personal activities. That’s social media, logging into your own blog, even your email servers probably run on OpenSSL.

It most probably also affects your Bank Account, and potentially any secured transaction you use online, from paying a bill, looking at your checking account balance, or buying that perfect Teapot on eBay.
