Vickie was born in Tennessee and relocated to Springfield Virginia when her parents settled on their new house, the day after Vickie's 3rd birthday. She went to Edsall Park Elementary school, Holmes Middle School and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High school in 1979. She attended East Tennessee State University (her fathers Alma mater) and graduated with honors from a computer technology school (Computer Learning Center) in 1982. She spent 15 years at Freddie Mac in IT until moving to Richmond and working for Circuit City until 2007. In 2008 she returned to school, attending the University of Sedona and acquiring a Doctorate of Divinity in Metaphysical Science.

Vickie received her first ordination on March 12, 2002 and was licensed in Virginia in May 2002. She received a second ordination from the International Metaphysical Ministry in 2008 as part of her education at the University of Sedona. She started her own business in 2008, Spring's Haven, LLC - A Spiritual Education Center located in Ladysmith Virginia.
